Our Team
Dom D'Ascoli / President & CEO In 1982 Dom founded Smoky Mountain Systems in Franklin NC. In the Army Signal Corps, he worked as a communications specialist, maintaining microwave sites in West Germany. Dom became a sergeant (E-5) in 13 months, which was a remarkably short time. He supports the military and has been extensively involved in the VAC (Veterans Airlift Command), the Wounded Warrior Project and the Warrior Dog Foundation. He also mentors veterans with PTSD and other issues.
He is a member of the Georgia Electronic Life Safety & Systems Association (GELSSA) where he was secretary for 3 years; a member of the North Carolina Electronic Security Association (NCESSA), where he served one term as Vice President, one term as Treasurer, and two nonconsecutive terms as President. He serves as a director of AIREF (Alarm Industry Research & Education Foundation). His attributes include Chairman of the Children’s Home Society of Broward County in Florida; chairman of the Macon County (NC) Department of Social Services; twice he has been the president of REACH (Resources, Education Assistance, Counseling and
Housing) of Macon County; a member of the Child Fatality Board fo Macon County, and ardent supporter for Habitat for Humanity; and past chair of the Finance Counsel at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church. He is a founding member of the Franklin NC Daybreak Rotary Club and has a number of Paul Harris Fellow Awards from them.
At ESA, his roles have included Chairman of the Standards Committee, as well as being part of the Elections, Investment and Education committees. In 2007 he was elected ESA Vice President and became President in 2010.

Dale North / General Manager:
With over 32 years of experience with SMS Integration, Dale North is a seasoned office manager that has brought positive change to SMS Integration. He has extensive knowledge in purchasing, payables, inventory & administrative duties. Starting in 1984, Dale joined SMS as a security & telephone installation apprentice and throughout the years rose in the ranks to become General Manager in 2015. His duties include responding and networking with clients, ensuring employee growth and satisfaction, as well as communicating with our CEO/President about departmental needs. Dale has increased department performance greatly with several strategic revisions. Dale’s vision for SMS’ future is to increase company growth, streamline operations and cultivate new clients in our broadening service areas of NC, SC & GA.
Mark D'Ascoli / Sales Manager:
Enjoying the Title of Director of Business Development for SMS, Mark has been the leading Sales Associate over the last 4 years increasing sales and expanding their client base. He holds numerous certifications in Honeywell Sales, Control 4 Tech 2, RS2 Tech 1, Elk and Yale to name a few. Mark currently sits on the national Board of Directors representing South Carolina for the Electronic Security Association. He has recently been promoted to Sales Manager for their Franklin N.C. Corporate Office. He eats, sleeps and dreams of technology and where the industry will be in the next 5/10/20 years. Mark considers himself a true integrator and a “Technical” sale guy.

Melissa Fifield / Manager
Melissa is a dedicated professional with a passion for the security integration industry. With 14 years of experience in accounting, purchasing and management, she has a proven track record of delivering high-quality results. Melissa is persistent and continuously seeks opportunities to expand her knowledge and skills. Known for her enthusiasm, Melissa is committed to excellence, innovation, and contributing positively to SMS Integration's success.
Fred Brown
Fred worked in the electronic security industry for over 30 years, and is originally from Charlotte NC. Fred moved to North Myrtle Beach in July of 2016, and had an extensive background in Commercial and Residential Security and Fire Alarm systems as well as Access Control and CCTV. Fred has been married for 32 years. He and his Connie have 1 son. His expertise and dedication to SMS will be missed.

Tony Yuzzi
Tony was born and raised in Flushing, NY to the late Nicholas and Marie Josephine Yuzzi. He was a US Army veteran and served during the Korean conflict; after his service, he joined his parents in Huntington Station, NY. He met his wife Alice Ivers Yuzzi on L.I. and they celebrated 60 years of marriage in 2016.
Tony was well known for his achievements and love of electronics, including ham radio. He and his family moved to Franklin in 1972, making many friends especially with members at St. Francis Church. He loved traveling to Maine; visiting Alice’s family there. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Nicholas Jr.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by two children, Anthony Yuzzi Jr. of Franklin and Steven M. Yuzzi of Maggie Valley, NC; two grandsons, Austin Yuzzi of Westville, FL and Nicholas Yuzzi of Franklin; one granddaughter, Lauren Yuzzi of Waynesville, NC; two great grandchildren Emma and Cole of Franklin and one step grandson, Adam Viens of Knoxville; and sister-in law, Jean Yuzzi of Florida.
